Academic Internship

Internships Malta is offering an academic internship with an accredited English language school, working under the direction of the Director of Studies. You will support the academic department and gain real classroom experience under experienced teachers who act as your mentors.

Responsibilities

• Welcome students every Monday and assist with morning level-testing
• Update speaking-test scores and help prepare student certificates
• Teach our free weekly Clubs and assist as a teacher’s aide (juniors and lower levels)
• Carry out supervised classroom checks and a minimum of 1.5 hours of observations per week
• Take part in peer observations and attend teacher meetings
• Help keep academic records and restock academic supplies

Requirements

• Studying or completed a higher-education course in education, teaching or linguistics
• English at B1+ level or higher to communicate fluently in the working environment
• A genuine interest in teaching and how an educational team operates
• Disciplined and motivated

Practical details

• Up to 30–40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday
• Optional staff accommodation available at €350/month all-inclusive (shared room, subject to availability)
