Internships Malta has an internship in the hairstyling industry. Our client is looking for a responsible, motivated intern to join their team. It suits students training to become hairstylists, hairdressers, barbers or beauticians.
Responsibilities
- Helping the stylists with client preparation
- Helping apply and remove simple treatments and hair products
- Assisting with sterilising and maintaining equipment
- Cutting and styling hair using razors, clippers and scissors
- Shampooing, conditioning, bleaching and applying dye or tint
- Styling hair with straightening irons, brushes and combs
- Helping sell retail products and recommending treatments after assessing a client's hair
- Operating a cash register and computer
- Reception duties such as answering the phone and scheduling appointments
Requirements
- Upper intermediate level of English
- Good people skills
- Able to operate a cash register
- Able to do basic tasks on a computer
